TVL compares archived provider observations labelled 24 and 31 October, captured at the time shown below the table. A date label does not guarantee a midnight snapshot. The 31 October point was the latest current-day observation when captured and may change later. Thus -8.94% describes these two archived points, not a strict comparison of midnight snapshots exactly seven days apart.

Calculations and evidence
TVL fell from $5.75B to $5.23B, changing -8.94%. DEX turnover summed to $7.07B, versus $7.04B in the preceding week, a +0.56% change. Falling locked-asset valuation and slightly rising turnover tell different stories; neither alone establishes ecosystem-wide growth or contraction.
Limits of interpretation
TVL is a stock valuation and volume is a period flow, so adding them is meaningless. Prices and quantities both affect TVL. Aggregates cannot independently identify net inflows, human users or revenue, and these observations do not establish causality.
The table exposes seven DEX daily buckets and archived TVL for reproduction. The fixed UTC volume sum need not equal rolling total7d. This edition retains its captured snapshot; provider revisions and later live values do not rewrite the archived numbers.
